The last few weeks have been absolutely crazy!! I’ve had so much going on both at work and at home, it feels like I haven’t had a second to take a breath. Obviously this has played havoc with my glucose levels and at times it’s felt like I’m fighting a losing battle.

SEET1 Summer Event

Diabetes Awareness Week
Next week is Diabetes Awareness Week across the UK, a seven day long campaign to raise awareness and provide education. The campaign takes place every June and is fronted by Diabetes UK. This year the dates are Monday 11th June – Sunday 17th June.
High as a kite
I absolutely HATE having high blood sugars! Although the associated feelings are far less intrusive than those you get from a hypo, it just makes you feel so disgustingly drained.
Urghh, yesterday was a bad day!! I’d had a super busy week (hence the lack of posts) and I decided to go out on Friday night and treat myself with the girls from work.
Its common knowledge that type 1 diabetics are likely to suffer with depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses. Yet, despite the successful campaigning of charities such as MIND, the stigma still exists.
As this week is the first ever Insulin Safety Week I thought it was only appropriate to write a relevant post.
