SEET1

South East Essex Type 1 Diabetes Family Group was established in 2016 by a handful of amazing volunteers. The aim of the group is to bring all those affected by type 1 Diabetes together, in order for them to share their stories, make friends, have a good time and, of course, support each other along their type 1 journeys.

The team regularly organise and hold events that are attended by type 1 families. If you would like to come along to an event, join the group or just want to learn more, check out the group’s Facebook page.

The group is a charitable organisation and is officially affiliated with Diabetes UK.

How can I donate or fundraise?
The group relies on donations and money obtained via fundraising in order to carry on running and bringing type 1 families together. Every penny helps and the group are especially grateful for any support you can give.

Online shopping – if you shop online please consider doing so via Easy Fundraising. There are over 3,000 shops you can buy from using this website, or their app, and it doesn’t cost you anything extra. Every time you make a purchase a donation is made to SEET 1.

Biscuit and cracker wrappers – we all like to eat a good biscuit or cracker once in a while! Please save and collect your finished wrappers and the SEET1 team can send them off to be recycled. For every wrapper sent the group receive a 2p donation. The wrappers are then turned into things such as watering cans, benches and bins. For more information on the types of wrappers that can or can’t be used, please get in touch with the team directly.
